My thoughts on the Peter Capaldi

I’m sure most of you have heard that Peter Capaldi is our new Doctor and he’s already done a slamming job in the episodes we’ve seen so far. Most people at my school (including annoying teenage girls who only watch Doctor Who for the enjoyment of eye candy) have been complaining about Capaldi a lot. I, on the other hand, love him. I feel like as soon as we get attached to one Doctor it’s time to bring another in. I loved Nine, Ten, and Eleven, although I wish Nine got another season, and I already love Twelve so I know this is gonna be great.

In past Doctor’s we’ve got a combination of goofy, good looks, youth, and human nature. With Capaldi, he’s got a dry sense of humor and more alien in him. He seems right now that he’s just trying to figure himself out. He’s also older and doesn’t necessarily have incredible good looks. This season is going to be a bit more dark and mysterious which I was waiting for; hopefully less heartbreaking, too. (I doubt it since Moffat has written most of the episodes this season)

Overall, I am very happy about Peter and hope others do, also.

The Issue with “Equality”

Equality is such a hard, much discussed topic anymore. Sorry, correction, homosexuality is such a hard, much discussed topic. Gay marriage, gay rights, etc.  When you look up the definition of the word “equality” this is what you get:

The state of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities.

How come we only use the word equality when referring to homosexuals or people of another race? We never hear equality for Christians or Muslims do we? No, we don’t. That’s just because some people are so narrow minded about their beliefs that they think only what they believe should be allowed. People have made the word equality just for one group of people. Which I find completely wrong.

Now if someone was to ask me if I believed in equality what do you think they mean? Equal rights for homosexuals? Or, equal rights for someone of another race? I can assure they are most definitely not asking me if I believe Christians, Buddhists, or Muslims should have just as many rights as the previous people. I don’t support gay marriage or anything along those lines, but neither do I feel hatred toward someone who does.

I have gotten into plenty of disagreements between myself and others over this topic. In most cases, I was asked for my opinion, gave it, and people got mad. Then I turn around and they’re cursing God or wronging me for my beliefs. I can stick up for it, but it never stops them. Pretty much, as I’ve said before in previous posts, don’t you dare say anything negative about a homosexual, but it’s okay if they turn around and put me down for my beliefs.

I just think people should be more careful with the use of the word equality. I hope I opened someone’s eyes. Have a good day!

Here’s is one of my absolute favorite songs! For King and Country have been one of my favorite bands for awhile. They are so talented. This song is just about how we need to pray to God that we have eyes only for him. How we constantly need to love without fear and stand up for our beliefs. I thought I’d share it! Amazing song from an amazing band

“I have a TARDIS.”

I thought I’d share with you how my day was turned from “eh” to “I’m literally floating on air.”

Today we had to meet a friend of ours out in town and I decided to bring a book considering her and my mother would talk about things that absolutely bore me. I decided to bring my book full of Doctor Who quotes. I usually intend on finding a corner, sitting in it, and reading until someone called me back to Earth. But there wasn’t any corner. Well, except the one with the weird dude sitting in it. Another story, another day.

Anyway, I sat. I read, until behold someone had called me back, but it was far too early. I looked up to see a guy. A literal, living organism from the male specimen standing before me. He was actually quite attractive, well dressed, curly hair and such. Adorable.

I attempted to hide my surprise considering most guys run when I get the courage to talk to them which is hardly ever, but the one time I did they ran. He was looking at me, then he turned to my book.

“Is that a Doctor Who book?” He asked. I nodded, not saying anything. I was still quite dumbfounded.
“What’s it called?” He asked again. I showed him the book cover unable to form words. He nodded approvingly. I saw him look around as if he was afraid someone was watching. AND I KID YOU NOT he whispered, “I have a TARDIS.”

I literally died, right then and there. I ended up giggling like the weirdest creature. Perhaps, a very happy Ood. He just grinned and looked at me. He literally looked at me. You know how in books when a female character is the narrator she says, “He studied me.”?

I think that’s what this dude was doing. So after he had whispered I gathered the words to say, “No way.” He just nodded and continued grinning.
“That’s totally cool,” I said.
“It’s a real TARDIS.”
“That’s nice,” I reply. He apologized that he had to go somewhere and ran off. After he left I was quite disappointed considering I thought maybe he was into me or something. HE CAME BACK.
Whipping out his phone, he scrolled through all these photos of an actual TARDIS he built himself. I was impressed and just very happy. I was about to ask him his name, but he said he had to leave for good and ran out the door.
Sadly, I did not get a name or a number. I keep kicking myself for not asking, but oh well. It still made my day.

Fandom Life

Fandom life can indeed be crazy, but yet, there’s something spectacular about being involved in one. You have your internet friends, your followers, and your much worked on blog. It’s an exhilarating feeling when someone likes your post about Doctor Who or Sherlock etc. It’s just great.

Although, sometimes it can be quite stressful. I like to kind of laugh at how stressful it is. I’ve been in quite a few fandoms who have has serious diversity and therefore, TONS of arguments. Of course, I’m the type of person who hates to see it, so I’m the one commenting and begging everyone to just stop and enjoy the beauty that is Benedict Cumberbatch, (True story, long story, Another day, another post.)

A lot of fandoms are separated by different ships, love for different characters, even hatred for different characters. Like, I love Doctor Who but I just could NOT stand Martha. She was so annoying like, “Oh my word, Doctor. You never pay me any attention.” The whole time I’m banging my head against the wall praying some Dalek exterminates her. It didn’t happen.

*SHE LEFT THE DOCTOR. WHO LEAVES THE DOCTOR. APPARENTLY MARTHA DOES.*

Sorry, I feel strongly about this. Anyway although fandom life is diverse, stressful, and sometimes time consuming it is all worth it.

If Joss Whedon dare kills…

Hey guys! It has once more forever. I apologize again and again and again!

I’m sure you saw the title of this post and thought, “She’s lost it. What?”

I haven’t lost it.

I discovered an article today that made me cry, scream in frustration, and want to curl up in a ball until all my troubles went away. That wouldn’t work though, because if what was said in that article was true it would scar my fandom life forever. I mean forever.

This article stated two things. One was that one very unlucky Avenger would fall to his/her death. The second was that it’s possible more than one Avenger would fall to his/her death.

*WHAT!? MORE THAN ONE? YOU COULDN’T BE SATISFIED WITH KILLING JUST ONE?*

Whose mastermind plan was this? None other than the fabulous, gingertastic director Joss Whedon. Who has a great name to go along with his great artistic talents. But Mr. Whedon why even think about killing our beloved Avengers? I understand in the Civil War comic issues. Iron Man slaughters Captain America over an issue about freedom, but why ALL OF THEM?

Maybe this isn’t true. Maybe I’m getting worked up over nothing. Maybe, Maybe, Maybe. The article didn’t say which Avenger could possibly be dying off, but by my belief either Captain America/Steve or Black Widow. I have reason to believe Cap because Chris Evans recently stated, “After the Avengers I look forward to taking a break from acting.”

Which Avengers? 2? Possibly 3 if he lives long enough to witness the sight? I have no clue about why I think Black Widow though. I get the hunch that she’ll die. Clint will mourn for days, weeks, possibly months over this and get distracted from training or Ultron or something. It might happen you guys! So do I have permission to mourn?

The Power of Music

Guys it’s been forever. My apologies! My PC crashed with a virus and I just now got my hands on an IPad. Anyhoo.

Music has such a powerful force attached to it. It can make people cry, become depressed, make them really happy, and so on etc. I’ve always wondered why. I can listen to songs and get really happy. Or when I listen to Ed Sheeran, I get major feels. Like AHHH!! Attractive male with red hair singing angelicly.

I think it’s either A. How much emotion people put into the lyrics or B. What they represent. Certain types of music draw in certain types of people. Christians listen to gospel, contemporary Christian, and Southern Gospel. Depressed People intend to listen to Heavy Metal. Southerners absolutely adore country music. And people who love to party listen to rock or pop music.

There’s such a variety of people who listen to such a variety of music. Thanks for reading and I’d love if you commented and possibly followed or shared. Much love!

Disappointment with Disney Stars

I don’t know if any of you have seen the most recent Demi Lovato music video, but I’m disappointed. Let’s just add her to my list of Disney Stars who have completely went off the rail. As a kid, I loved, and I mean loved, Demi, Miley, and Selena. They were my role models and I looked up to them greatly. I look now and cannot believe I even supported them.

Demi– I came across the new music video on Youtube, and should’ve known better, but no I watched it. She clearly supports gay/lesbian rights and was not afraid to tell everyone. She made the statement, “My Jesus loves everyone.” And yes, he does. But sin like homosexuality, is sickening for him to look at. Believe it or not, he turns away. It saddens God to see the way his people have chosen.

Please don’t think I’m hating at all on gays. I’m simply pointing out why I’m deeply disappointed. I don’t hate gays, but I most certainly do NOT support them or believe what they do is right. It’s hugely against the Bible. Therefore, it is a sin. I don’t have to support them, but I still love them, which the Bible tells me to do. I continually pray for them, and I will continue to do so.

Miley-I’m pretty sure all of you have seen Miley lately. And I’m pretty sure she’s not having “identity” issues. Surprisingly, I wasn’t as infatuated with Miley as I was with the other Disney girls. My parents actually didn’t let me watch Hannah Montana and I thank them for that.

I really have no clue what happened to Miley. It was like BAM! Out of the blue, inappropriate clothing, music, and actions. I was literally just like, “What.” My Dad was too.

Selena– She’s actually not as bad as the first two. I just think Justin Beaver, or whatever, kind of led her astray. Last I heard she was in rehab for drinking. Her music though has gotten kind of out-of-hand. I understand she’s getting older, but she has like, seven year old fans looking up to her. I don’t think she takes that into consideration as she parades in stage like a yuppie.

Although, people have different opinions on these girls this is mine. I thought I would share that with you. Feel free to share your thoughts!
